The Keizwen

The sapient species of Mozzwol. The Keizwen are a semi-bipedal species who can comfortably walk on all fours, fly for short distances, and hold their breath for over an hour. They are quick learners who love patterns and logic, but have a little bit of a harder time with abstract concepts. They come from the planet Mozzwol, an icy planet that went unilluminated for almost five hundred years. A miracle of science (with a little bit of Magic at play) gave them a new sun to call their own, and now they are restoring the ecosystem on their planet piece by piece.

They were the first species I made, and originally started as something else completely. I ended up turning them into what they are a year or so after the original idea and the Keizwen pictured here, Ali, was the first to be designed and started the whole rabbit hole. They used to live inder the city of Eternity itself! However, I retconned the idea and gave them their own planet and lore. Though, they still live underground!

The Verilian

Sister species to the Keizwen, being from the same dimension and on a chemically similar planet, The Verilian are bipeds with lots of fin-like extensions of their body. They are still in early stages of technological development, very few stone cities having been built and most of the population being nomadic or hunter-gatherer. Metalworking is only just being discovered.

Their eyes are unique, having all of the light receptive tissue in the front, with several films of color-filtering cells layered on top. Shrinking and expanding these films changes the amount of light picked up by the eyes, but also the colors that they see. A Verilian can single out any color or combination of colors to more accurately spot things in the foliage.

The Jubell

The Jubell are a semi-aquatic bipedal race from Upe. They are very tall, and swim very fast, and have both gills and lungs from their almost amphibious lifecycle. They're very soft-spoken and conflict-averse in culture, but have had a vast history of terrible conquest and space exploration. They were nearly pushed to exctinction when a fungus went out of control and killed nearly all of them. A silent apocalypse---with no survivors. That is, if the Keizwen hadn't intervened. An exploration ship that had ventured into Upe's solar system and was overtaken by the Jubell army managed to make an effective anti-fungal vaccine. Hundreds were left.

For a long time, they had to look to the Artivians nearby for safe haven, until Upe recovered from the destructive fall of their cities and the subsequent pollution. They are reclaiming their lands and their heritage---slowly.
